September 2nd. The worst news anyone could get while going through a deployment and something someone so young never should have to do. My cousin's boyfriend of five years was KIA (killed in action). This was supposed to be his last tour before he left to start his life after the military, sad to say it didn't happen.
I have many questions that wander through my mind from time to time when something like this happens. The biggest one being only three letters long. WHY? I know God has a plan for all of us whether we live to be newborn or old and gray, but why must he take them when they are young? As I said, the man upstairs has a plan for all of us, I just don't understand his logic sometimes. <~~~Hope that last line made some sorta sense.
I can only imagine what she has been through the last year and more to come, but I can't imagine. I believe the only people that ever know what she is going through are her fellow "war widows" or those who have lost a spouse. Ugly term I know! May my cousin continue to be as strong as she has been for the past year.
It takes two people to properly remember someone...one person to say a name and the other person to hear it.
You are gone, but will NEVER be forgotten. RIP Marine.
